The first $1 million lottery prize claimed in December for the state was on Tuesday, when a Bay Stater won $1 million on a lottery scratch ticket sold from a Shell gas station.The winning scratch ticket was from the '$2,000,000 50X Cashword' game, and was sold from a Shell in Reading.There was also a $100,000 lottery prize claimed on Tuesday, Dec. 6, with the winning ticket sold from Chelsea's Family Market. That ticket was also a scratch off, and was for the '$15,000,000 Money Maker' game.Overall, there were 596 winning lottery tickets worth at least $600 sold in Massachusetts on Tuesday, including 17 in Springfield and 15 in Worcester.
