Patrick McMullan via Getty Images Nearly two years after her arrest and following conviction in December 2021, Ghislaine Maxwell was sentenced Tuesday to 20 years in prison for trafficking girls to have sex with financier Jeffrey Epstein.The British socialite was one of the most prominent and mysterious figures linked to Epstein, who died by apparent suicide in prison in 2019 while awaiting trial on charges of sex trafficking and conspiracy.
