A 23-year-old man died in an apparent shooting in Chelsea on Sunday night, Oct. 8, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office. Police found the man lying on the ground with what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds around 10:20 p.m. in the area of Congress Avenue and Shurtleff Street. The man was brought to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston where he was pronounced dead, the office said. He was identified as Santos David Canizales, of Chelsea, Massachusetts State Police said.
